Medford Lakes is a log cabin community in the heart of the south jersey pine barrens that began as a summer resort camp. The project entailed transforming an ordinary 50-year old, single story ranch home to a first-class Adirondack style cabin befitting the town’s historical roots.
The open floor plan design includes a large ‘lodge room’ addition which includes a massive stone fireplace, rugged pacific yew mantle and rustic white cedar columns and beams. The open kitchen and dining areas flow together with the lodge and family rooms for casual and flexible entertaining, while also providing an abundance of natural light and views to the lake, all enhanced by the clients collection of rustic antiques.
