Shawnee Elementary School Renovations & Addition

The Shawnee Elementary School underwent a complete renovation that relocated the central office and main entry to the corner of the building site improving visibility, access and security. The 1970’s original open concept ‘pods’ were reconfigured into standard classrooms along with a new expanded library. Four new additions were added for a new central office, 12 new classrooms with individual toilets, a new cafeteria & kitchen.

Although not officially a LEED Certified building, the building will be provided air-conditioning and other “green’ Building features that will lower operating costs.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

The project created a new Ruth’s Chris restaurant location in the commercially busy King of Prussia Mall area of the Philadelphia suburbs.  Located on the ring road to the mall, the restaurant reflects the quality and style of the New Orleans roots of the restaurant chain, while also reflecting the unique character reflective of the local franchise owner.  The interior includes details that vary from gold leaf quotations from the owner and architect in the entry hall, to unique famous dog portraits quietly creating a different atmosphere in the bar. The entire restaurant including the many dining rooms creates stimulating and high quality feel that is reflective of the dining experience the staff hope that all of their guests experience.

Nazareth Area Middle School

The $52 million, 1,000 student middle school achieved a Gold rating under guidelines of the U.S. Green Building Council, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED).  The building’s massing and design makes strong references to the historic buildings constructed by the original Moravian settlers who located in Nazareth, PA in the mid-17th century.  Sited on 22 acres, it also contains a parking lot for the adjacent high school and an all-weather track and practice field.  The plan is organized around a central administrative core, state of the art media center and cafeteria. The 2–story classroom wings for each grade level extend east-west to maximize the day lighting benefits. The physical education wing contains a 1,000 seat gymnasium, locker and team room and life fitness center. The building also includes an 8 lane competitive swimming pool and locker rooms for use by the entire district and public.

Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse

Located near the city center of Philadelphia on historic south Broad Street in the theater district, the restaurant has the feel of an urban club with finely paneled walls, unique arched and hunting trophies, many of which were the result of the owners own hunting trips.  The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant and bar, reflect the immaculate quality of the food and the service to the patrons.

Freedom High School Gymnasium & Classroom Addition

The $28 million Project consisted of 3 additions. A new main entrance addition contains a new administration office, black-box stage room and 4 additional classrooms on the second level.  The largest addition contains 15 new classrooms and a 20,000 sq. ft. gymnasium with seating for 2,500, aerobic gym, physical education locker rooms, team rooms, life fitness center. P.E. classrooms and a new public lobby.  Another addition included a new cafeteria, serving court, kitchen, central information and technology office.

Garnick Residence

The project entailed taking an expansive suburban home with ample spaces and gracious room sizes, and adding a creative sense of design and detail that the owners desired.  While the renovation included all parts of the home, the center piece of the project included the center stair hall and the main family / living rooms beyond.  The sense of style, detail and sequence of spaces creates a dramatic sense to the home, while still providing the owners with a comfortable home in which to dwell.
