Ruth's Chris Steakhouse

This project involved the renovation of a freestanding 9000 S.F. restaurant to a Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and represents a fine example of successful teamwork with the Owner, Architect, and Contractor. The result was a complete transformation from a would-be 1970’s casual neighborhood restaurant to an upscale traditional steak house with design references varying from Victorian to Neoclassical.

Some unique features in the design scheme are:
- An interior transformation that was conduced by a custom colored, patterned carpet that brings out an “old world” feeling.
- Gas lanterns replaced existing exterior light fixtures to recall the steak house’s origin and hometown of New Orleans.
- Raised ceilings along with decorative vintage/antique light fixtures to establish a classical environment.
- Red mahogany millwork complimented with rich dark green walls to bring out a “warmth” to the enclosure.
