Underutilized laboratory space was completely "gutted" back to the base building structure in order to make way for two new Tissue Culture Labs. Existing mechanical, electrical and plumbing services, including gas, air and vacuum, were removed and reworked in order to conform to the new laboratory furniture, provided by VWR Scientific. The existing single pane exterior glazing system was also removed in order to make way for a new thermally efficient double glazed system.
